  • Notes: All containers is the Recycling Depot are clearly marked to received your materials. Please deposit materials in appropriate containers or locations.
  • Limitations: Kinnelon residents only. Contractors and tradesmen are not permitted to use the depot's containers for any reason, even if accompanied by a Kinnelon resident. Under no circumstances are rock, stone, concrete or dirt accepted at the depot.

Batteries (Dry Cell) (Recycling) Rechargeable batteries only as alkalines are safe to place in the regular garbage. Make sure battery are individually wrapped or the terminals are taped to prevent electrical shorting and fires.
Brush/Tree Parts (Recycling) Empty your container of yard waste in appropriate area, no bags are to be left on the leaf pile.
E-Waste - Computers, TVs, etc. (Recycling)

A drop-off receptacle for the disposal of home electronics is now available at the Recycling Center. Accepted electronics include only the following: computers, laptops, televisions, monitors, desktop printers and fax machines. All other electronic waste should be disposed of in the garbage as it is not covered by the E-waste law and program. Absolutely no curbside collection.

Freon (Chloro-FloroCarbon) (Recycling) $5.00 fee for acceptance of the following CFC containing white goods and appliances: refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers
Leaves (Recycling) Empty your container of yard waste in appropriate area, no bags are to be left on the leaf pile.
Metal Appliances (Recycling) $5.00 fee for acceptance of the follow CFC containing white goods and appliances: refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Non-CFC appliances like washers and dryers are accepted for no fee.
Scrap Metal (Recycling) Ferrous and non-ferrous metals including white goods, washers, dryers, tire rims, non-container aluminum, copper, brass and lead.
Tires (Recycling) Tires must be removed from rim. $5.00 fee per car tire and a $7.00 fee for truck tires.
