A "Catch the Fever" Mercury Thermometer Exchange
Program once again hits Morris County! For the second
year in a row, Morris County residents may bring their mercury fever
thermometers to participating pharmacies, municipal health
departments, and other municipal offices. In return, they will
receive free non-mercury thermometers (one per household) Click here for details

What are three forms of water? These and many other questions can be answered
by exploring "The Story of Water" an interactive program by the American Water
Works Association. This is not just for kids . . . everyone can learn about the

A drop box for after hours deposits is located at the
MCMUA, administrative
offices, 300 Mendham Road.
For depositing checks after hours, there is a drop box located at the rear of the
MCMUA administrative offices at 300 Mendham Road, Morris Township. To get to the
drop box, take the 300 Mendham Road driveway to the rear of the main
building. The drop
box is located in the middle of the building next to a set of double doors. Deposit
your check in the drop box, and we will credit your escrow account the next business day. Click here for more information regarding utilizing

Daily
Hours of Compost Facilities:
- Regular facility hours are 7:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Facilities close at approx. 3:00 p.m. to allow a safe shutdown of equipment and
facility. No commercial contractors allowed to enter facilities between noon and
1:00 p.m., according to NJDEP permit. Violators may be banned from MUA
facilities.
Parsippany
Facility:
- Facility is accepting source-separated brush, leaves, grass and wood chips.
Wood mulch and unscreened compost is available. Screened compost may not be
available to landscapers until mid- or late May.
Mount
Olive
Facility:
- Facility is accepting source-separated brush, leaves, grass and wood
chips. Landscapers may purchase screened compost, and wood
mulch. Screened and unscreened compost will be available starting in the Spring.
Compost
facilities are CLOSED on the following holidays: Memorial
Day (5/26/08), 4th of July (7/4/08), Labor Day (9/1/08), Columbus Day
(10/13/08),
Thanksgiving (11/27/08), and Christmas (12/25/08)
Shade
Tree ticket office is open for tickets Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to noon.
Please plan in advance when purchasing tickets and try to use tickets
within a week of purchasing. Tickets are available on site in
Mount
Olive
at all times. All tickets expire at the end of the year in which they were
purchased. ABSOLUTELY NO exchanges, credits, swaps, or money back for unused
tickets.
