Water Transmission Main Extension:

This project is to accommodate future production and delivery conditions and improve the overall pumping efficiency of the MCMUA transmission system.   The project will connect the Mt. Arlington Booster Pump Station to the MCMUA production well fields and ground storage reservoirs in Randolph.  The transmission main will provide a common suction gradient for the MCMUA's two booster stations, improving pumping efficiencies to the north and central section of the system and provide a means to connect future water production facilities from the Rockaway Basin.   Additionally, the 12-inch diameter transmission mains through Mine Hill and Roxbury Townships on Route 46 will cease to be limiting factors for water delivery as existing delivery and flow patterns will be divided and reserved.  The project consultant is Suburban Consulting Engineering of Dover, NJ.
