Hours:
Mon-Fri 7:30 -3:00
Sat 7:30-11:00The Parsippany-Troy Hills
Transfer Station became operational January 2, 1988. Since that time,
all solid waste generated in eastern Morris County has been and is still required to be
delivered to the MCMUA Parsippany-Troy Hills Transfer Station prior to disposal. Click here for more information about waste
flow control in Morris County.
Users of the facility first weigh their vehicles at the
scalehouse prior to dumping their garbage on a tipping floor. They then weigh out at
the scalehouse to determine the amount of waste delivered. The waste on the floor is
scooped up in bucket loaders for placement into open topped transfer trailers. These
trucks then transport the waste to permitted disposal facilities located in eastern
Pennsylvania. The disposal facilities are owned and operated by Waste Management, Inc. |
