Mount Olive Transfer StationHousehold Hazardous
Waste Facility
The newest addition
to the Mt. Olive transfer station is the
household hazardous waste facility. This
facility shows the MCMUA's commitment to the
environment and the safety of the solid waste and
recycling workers. The facility opened on
April 25, 1998 provides hazardous waste disposal
and recycling for Morris County residents at no
charge.
This facility has
prefabricated hazardous waste storage units and
office making it cost effective yet safe and
efficient. It is operated by private
hazardous waste management firms under contract
with the MCMUA giving the MCMUA the flexibility
to provide as much timely household hazardous
waste disposal as is needed.
